SPEC Supported Learning Courses
(TRUMP & Headway & Ready for Work)
Ready for Work
This course is aimed at students/clients who are in a work experience placement or who are at work. The sections prepare for the placement as well as record the actual placement and include a health and safety section.
This course also encourages the development and demonstration of Key Competencies.
Students must complete every task in each of the four sections to be eligible for the Certificate in Learning Support at Level 1.

The Trump Course
This set of five modules is written at Level 1 of the National Curriculum. Students receive a SPEC certificate for each individual module. Completion of all five modules goes towards the Certificate in Learning Support Level 1.
Headway Courses
These courses are post 16 through to adulthood. The individual modules are categorised into Life Skills, Environment, Leisure and Vocational areas. Each module contains four sections. There is a minimum requirement for students/clients to complete ONE task from each of the sections in each module.
This course also encourages the development and demonstration of key competencies. Students must complete a minimum of 10 modules which lead to a Certificate in Learning Support at Level 1
