The SPEC team is made up of a passionate group of teachers who seek to find the best possible learning opportunities for their students.


The SPEC organisation is a registered New Zealand company.


Carolyn Baines is the director and Curriculum Development and Quality Assurance Manager and is supported by Eve Vernik who is the Administration and Finance Manager and the website designer.  The third office team member is Nigel Baines who is responsible for the Printing and Processing of resources.


The SPEC organisation has four Area Managers who oversee several geographical areas of the country and one Area Manager who has a special interest in the post school sector for students who require ongoing support.


There are a further four Regional team members who will support verification meetings in their own geographical area.


This year 2013 we have 21 “SPEC Excellence Schools”.  These schools are beacon schools for SPEC, demonstrating sound delivery and excellent Quality procedures as well as maximum student outcomes.
